Project Theme: Water



For my second project I decided to do water. I'm looking at water in differnt ways than you normally would. I'm looking to find unique ways to see water and reflections off the water. I will try to find water hitting things and differnt ways light hits the water.

Inspiration: Ray Massey

Ray Massey takes very interesting water photography. He uses a very highspeed camera and takes pictures when objects hit the water. He uses differnt angles and techniques to really show a special way of how things enter the water. He likes to capture the picture of the splash around the object to show an artistic view.

I like how he got the picture right as the cups hit. Ray really shows the water up in the air connecting. He makes good use of his super fast camera when he gets these pictures.

I like how he created a water tornado. He uses an under water camera to take this really cool picture. I like how its zoomed in so you can really see every ripple in the water.

This is my favorite picture that he took in his water album. He took the time to carve faces in the lemon and lime and then drop them through the water. I really like the artsy view he took and how he angled them to both be seen in the shot.

Project 1

Project Theme: Landscapes

 

For my first project i have decided to do landscapes. I am going to try to find unique ways to look at differnt views of pictures. Im going to incorparate trees, and other natural things to frame picutres and try to look at ranges in views the eye would not ordinarily see them.

Inspiration: Jeremy Turner

He takes very interesting landscape pictures. He uses differnt angles and also plays with this things in color but also black and white. I will try to use some of his techniques in my own work.

I like how the sky looks compared to the water in this picture. I like how the water is going kind of the opposite way of the sand so it looks contradicting.

I really like the designs in the sand, and how the one in the middle is not like the rest of them. I also like how the mountain is faded by the clouds and it seems like the picture could go forever.

I like how the water looks on the rocks and how the colors contradict around the rocks. I also really like the color of the mountain and how it kind of stands out from everything else in the picture.
